New Technology for Grocery Stores

I saw an article today that talked about some new digital equipment that will be tested in grocery stores on the east coast this summer.  It's a cart-mounted console that helps you find products in the store.  You can also scan and pay for your items without waiting in the checkout line.  How great would that be???  It tells you where to find stuff and then you don't have to wait in a line to pay!  I love it!  When they test it this summer it will be at ShopRite stores and if you have a ShopRite loyalty card you'll be able to log onto their website at home and type in your grocery list.  Once you get to the store you swipe your card in the console and the list will appear.  As you pick up items you scan it on the console and it gives you a running tally and checks items off the shopping list.  You'll never forget to pick something up again!! I hope it works on the east coast this summer and then gets to our neck of the woods!  It sounds like a great way to save some time.

1 - So... the spouse could create the list online for the other to pick up on the way home... I like it!

Now, the challenge is to get that spouse computer literate! (Comment this)
