Useless Baby Shower Gifts
Happy Monday! I hope you had a good Thanksgiving! I did!! No turkey for me, I got to eat ham...it was GREAT! And we had cherry pie and chocolate pie instead of pumpkin and mincemeat so it was a good day for me!! It's always tough to come back to work after a long weekend. Wow! I really wanted to stay in bed for another couple of hours this morning...especially since it was raining.
Did you go out shopping Friday? I didn't want to fight the crowds so I stayed home but my sister, niece and brother-in-law did. They said it was crowded but not obnoxiously so.
I mentioned today on the air that there was a survey on www.momlogic.com about the top 5 useless baby shower gifts. The list was:
#5- frilly, expensive dress-up clothes
#4- tiny shoes/bottles
#3- too tiny receiving blankets
#2- wipes warmer
#1- bottle sterilizer
I asked some moms around the station if they agreed with this list and if there was anything they'd add. They did agree with the list and added made up baskets, gift bags with lotion and powder and a silver spoon. When I talked about this during my show today several listeners called in and disagreed with the list. One person really liked the wipes warmer and another one made extensive use of the receiving blankets. So my question to you is: Do YOU agree with the list and is there anything missing?
