Britain’s Got Talent continued and Susan Boyle sailed through the semi-finals.  Next week will decide the winner.  If you’d like to see her most recent performance click here http://watching-tv.ew.com/2009/05/susan-boyle-bri.html and you’ll see her sing “Memories” from Cats.  She falters just a bit at the beginning but then regains her footing and finishes strong.

‘Take Me Out to the Ballgame’ is iconic to baseball.  However, the National Hot Dog & Sausage Council is looking for a new version of the song that includes a reference to hot dogs.  Hot dogs are the #1 food served in major league ball parks and the council feels that hot dogs should be mentioned in the song.  If you have a great idea to include them go to www.hot-dog.org and submit your entry.  Props and costumes are encouraged.  Entries must be received by June 6, 2009.  Winners will be announced at the start of National Hot Dog Month on July 1st.  Winners will be featured in an online video on www.youtube.com/hotdogcouncil.  Several prizes will be awarded including the Grand Prize: 25 pounds of gourmet hot dogs and a $500 gift card to MLB.com to be used for merchandise or game tickets to select teams.  The winner will also receive a souvenir baseball autographed by Hall of Famer Phil Niekro.
