Do you remember ‘Tarzan’ (the original, not any of the remakes) or ‘Dr. Doolittle’ from 1967?  Yeah, neither do I but I heard a lot about Cheeta, the chimp, who played Tarzan’s sidekick and appeared with Dr. Doolittle in the movie.  Now the handlers of the 76 year old chimp are trying to get him a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.  This is their 7th attempt and if they’re successful Cheeta will be the first chimp to get a star.  There is a petition to the Walk of Fame Committee to get Cheeta his star.  The handlers are noting that Lassie and Rin Tin Tin have stars and that Cheeta deserves one, too.  Cheeta has been called the world’s oldest living non-human primate by the Guinness Book of World Records.  If you would like to see Cheeta get his star go here http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/GoCheeta/ and sign the petition.
